Theresa's August Results

Rachel - Thank you for putting kraft paper in the July and August kits. I love working with it!

I created a couple of Leeloo layouts and a card this month. I am becoming fond of printing on patterned paper and finding images online to enhance my layouts (see cupcake and flower). Since brown and green were in the color scheme this month, I made good use of a couple DistressInk pads. I hope that's OK!

These two layouts are designed to go together in my book.

Card, to comfort. Sorry for the blurry photos! I didn't notice that until I'd already packed everything up.

  1. What a sweet layout! I love the photo labels and how you used the safety pins to attach them. Adorable! Great use of color. I also love the placement of the paper flowers on the second half of the layout. It really moves the eye across the page.

By the way, do you know what my first thought is every time I see one of your or Marieke's cards? I would buy that in a store. And I would buy this cupcake card in a store. I swear you are professionals! Claudia, if you start making cards, too, out of these kits I am in big trouble.

  2. Very sweet layout! First of all, I really like the photo placement, especially on the clown page. I love the safety pin photo tags, and it is awesome that they are actually pinned onto the ribbon! The brads through the flowers are very cute. And I like the green semi-circles that are peeking out with your notes. The cupcake card is adorable, and I too would buy it! I like the inside... I am so obsessed with concentric shapes (i.e. matting everything) but I love the bit of pink paper behind the yellow. Back to the card in general, a mere picture of it made me smile, so it'll definitely do its job!

  3. I love these, Theresa. Gosh, the talent of you three ladies is so impressive. Every month I am just in awe and I swear I can't get anymore impressed and then I see the next month's results. I can't wait to hang out with everyone in February. It is going to be so much fun. If these are the results we get on our own, imagine being able to feed off of each other directly and immediately.

Now, back to your lovely items...

I love those clown pictures - they are just too cute! It looks like you are having a lot of fun with Leeloo. I love your title and text - you have such a great eye for fonts. I usually get impatient as I go through my list of fonts and just select whatever. I admire your eye and patience for picking just the right font. I love the overall layout design. I love the three photos stacked on top of each other because it perfectly tells the sequential storyline. I love how you added the banner flags (the shape - banners - goes perfectly with the circus theme) and I, too, love how you attached them to the ribbon with the safety pins. I also love the papers you chose - the giraffe goes with the orange patterned paper and the blue goes with the ribbon. Cute, cute, cute. I love this layout. While I loved everything of yours this month, this was my favorite.

On the funny faces layout, I love how you printed the flower onto the paper. Every time I try to print on paper, it gets jammed in my printer. :-( Again, GREAT font choices! I am so jealous of your talent in choosing just the right font. Picking the right font is so important for setting the mood of a layout and is just something I haven't nailed yet.

I also love your cupcake card. I LOVE that saying. It, too, made me smile. Hasn't everyone had one of those days? I, too, loved how you triple matted the front. Very cute!
