Rachel's April Results

Okay, so this month was not my month. That epiphany that I wait for just never seemed to come, and as a result, I am not terribly happy with the layouts that I created. But I digress. I actually created versions of these a couple of weeks ago that have been languishing on my desk ever since I broke my rule and peeked at Marieke's results before posting. Big mistake!

  1. Hey Rach,

Thanks for posting these!!!! I love seeing what you create.

I love them all but I think my favorite is the last one - the one with all the Hanna Baby pictures. (It makes me sad that I am going to have to stop calling her that soon.) I love how you put the captions on the photos - so cute! I also love how you used the ribbon here, and cut the end into an inverted V - darling.

In the first layout, I love how the tags and flowers are both angled up. I love symmetry on a page - it just looks good and right. I also love the journaling - that's awesome. I chuckle every time I look at it. I know exactly how you felt when you wrote that.

In the middle layout I love how you framed the photo with the Easter eggs. What's up with the bunny? What's the story there? Are you at church?

I love them all and I love seeing what you do. I am jealous of your ability to authentically create layouts. I feel like I rely entirely too much on scraplifting. While my layout didn't end up looking like the layout I had tried to scraplift, the basic idea of it came from a scraplift and I wish I could take a pile of supplies and create something from my ideas alone. I have only done that a handful of times out of the dozens of layouts I have done and it is something I would like to do more often.
